CORPINNAT welcomes Mas de la Basserola and reaches 15 member wineries

This incorporation strengthens the foundational values of the project: 100% local production, sustainability, estate-owned vineyards, and a commitment to the highest quality sparkling wines.
April 11, 2025
Mas de la Basserola joins CORPINNAT after successfully passing all mandatory audits. The collective now includes 15 wineries from the Penedès region, all producing sparkling wines under one of the world’s most rigorous quality standards (100% organic grapes, manual harvests, estate-based vinification, long ageing, and more).
Since its founding on April 10, 2018, CORPINNAT has integrated the following wineries: Gramona, Llopart, Nadal, Recaredo, Sabaté y Coca, Torelló, Huguet de Can Feixes, Júlia Bernet, Mas Candí, Can Descregut, Pardas, Bufadors, Cisteller, Viader, and now, Mas de la Basserola.
In Harmony with Nature
Mas de la Basserola has been a family estate with a strong winemaking tradition since the mid-19th century, with the Vives family producing wines continuously since 1869. With 40 years of experience in high-quality sparkling wine production, they share the same values and philosophy as CORPINNAT. They are committed to revitalizing a self-sufficient Penedès, the birthplace of sparkling wines in Spain, where each estate produced its own wines. This tradition has sustained the region for centuries and is preparing it for future challenges.
Through joining CORPINNAT, the family aims to showcase many years of hard work, with Joan, Teresa, Guillem, Martine, and the next generation continuing to cultivate, produce, and bottle wines at the estate in sync with nature and light.
Commitment to the Territory
Mas de la Basserola has been certified organic since 2000, always using manual harvests and estate-grown grapes. It is the first winery from the Pla de Manlleu to join the collective, further strengthening CORPINNAT’s territorial roots.
Joining CORPINNAT represents a dual benefit, reinforcing a growing collective project that sustains the Penedès wine industry. With its strength, the collective is prepared to face the territory’s challenges with confidence and resilience, maintaining hope for the future despite the threats facing the landscape.
The commitment to quality among CORPINNAT’s member wineries is already yielding results, increasing value across the entire wine sector.
This new addition reaffirms CORPINNAT’s inclusive approach, aiming to strengthen a sector that not only advocates for itself but also defends the landscape, supports local agriculture, and preserves the identity of the wines and territory.
