Corpinnat welcomes the prestigious Académie du Vin de France and strengthens its international projection

Sant Sadurní d’Anoia, April 15, 2025
On Friday, April 11, the Corpinnat territory welcomed a delegation from the Académie du Vin de France, one of the most influential institutions in the European wine scene. Founded in 1933, the Académie aims to preserve and promote the cultural dimension of wine.
The visit to Corpinnat was part of a broader trip through Catalonia, during which members of the Académie explored some of the region’s most iconic wine-growing areas: Priorat, Penedès, and Corpinnat. The program also included a gala dinner in Barcelona and the celebration of the Académie’s annual meeting.
Friday’s session was held at Recaredo Winery in Sant Sadurní d’Anoia, bringing together all the producers that make up Corpinnat for a joint showroom showcasing their high-quality sparkling wines. In addition to tasting wines from the 15 wineries that form part of the Corpinnat collective brand, the Académie delegation also toured the facilities at Recaredo in the afternoon, where they learned more about the winemaking techniques, production processes, and the core values that define Corpinnat.
The delegation included prominent figures from some of France’s most celebrated wine regions, such as Champagne, Burgundy, Alsace, Bordeaux, the Rhône Valley, and the Loire, among others. Among the attendees were renowned names like Pierre Trimbach, President of the Académie; the acclaimed winemaker Anselme Selosse; and Joan Josep Abó, the Académie’s correspondent in Spain.
Pierre Trimbach, President of the Académie du Vin de France, warmly thanked the hosts and described the visit as “an exceptional tasting and, above all, a true discovery.” He added, “From now on, during our travels, we’ll be paying much closer attention to sparkling wine lists to see where Corpinnat appears.”
The event concluded with a reflection from Anselme Selosse, who spoke about the deep connection between landscape, wine, and the winemaker’s personal expression:
“What I’ve found in the wines of Corpinnat is a shared emotion, born of the seriousness and rootedness of those who produce them. These are wines with sapidity, that make you salivate, that express life and a sense of place—because behind each one lies a respected, preserved ecosystem. When natural balances are protected, the terroir comes through strongly, and that’s what gives meaning and unity to this collective brand.”
The visit is part of the Académie du Vin de France’s growing commitment to openness and international exchange, aiming to foster dialogue with winemaking projects that prioritize quality, origin, and respect for terroir. The encounter helped build bridges between two wine cultures with shared values and opened new paths for mutual understanding.
