Corpinnat Named Best Artisan Company at the Cata Mayor 2026 Awards
Pere Llopart: “Today, it’s not just Corpinnat that is valued, but also the territory and the people who care for it”
Corpinnat has been named Best Artisan Company at the Cata Mayor Awards 2026 . The award, granted by El Periódico’s gastronomic channel, highlights Corpinnat’s “quality and transparency”, describing it as “a prestigious brand that has taken sparkling wine to a new dimension, delving into long ageing processes”. “It is both an honour and a responsibility to receive this award, because today, it’s not just Corpinnat that is being recognised, but the territory and the people who care for it”, said President Pere Llopart.
The award jury, made up of leading professionals from the wine and gastronomy sectors, recognised Corpinnat’s commitment to historic grape varieties, cultivating 100% organic grapes, harvesting by hand, and vinifying entirely on the estate.
“We are a collective project sharing the same philosophy: an unwavering commitment to farming, viticulture, the land, the territory, the landscape, and the craftwork”. For this reason, “we work under one of the most demanding and quality-focused regulations”: with manual harvesting, full vinification at the winery, organic grapes, and native varieties, as acknowledged by the jury, while also paying a guaranteed minimum price to growers “to preserve the landscape and to ensure that vineyard work is dignified and has a future”.
Corpinnat’s board of directors received the award during a ceremony held at the Born Centre de Cultura i Memòria, attended by prominent figures from the Catalan wine and gastronomy world.

The Corpinnat model
Corpinnat is a collective Brand name in the European Union founded in April 2018 to identify premium sparkling wines produced in the heart of the historic Penedès region, a 997 km² territory covering all or part of 46 municipalities across Alt Penedès, Baix Penedès, Alt Camp, Garraf, Baix Llobregat, and Anoia. It is currently made up of 21 wineries: Gramona, Llopart, Nadal, Recaredo, Sabaté i Coca, Torelló, Huguet de Can Feixes, Júlia Bernet, Mas Candí, Can Descregut, Pardas, Bufadors, Cisteller, Viader, Mas de la Basserola, Kripta, Demost, Mas Bertran, AT Roca, Mir, and Torné & Bel.
The brand operates under its own strict and demanding regulations, guaranteeing the highest standards both in the vineyard and in the winery, and contributing to safeguarding the future of the craft, the sector and the territory: 100% organic vineyards and production; manual harvesting; full vinification at the winery for the entire company (both corpinnats and still wines); extended ageing (minimum 18 months); commitment to historical grape varieties (minimum 90%); estate-owned vineyards and long-term contracts with growers with guaranteed minimum pricing; and annual external audits. This production model not only ensures wine excellence, but also values human labour, dignifies the role of the winegrower and strengthens the bond with the territory.
