CORPINNAT and the Catalan Government draw closer

Barcelona 13-03-2025

A delegation from CORPINNAT met this morning at the Parliament of Catalonia with the Hon. Mr Oscar Ordeig, Minister of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries of the Government of Catalonia, and with Mr Joan Gené, Director of INCAVI.

The meeting was held in a cordial atmosphere with the aim of addressing the place of the European Union Collective Brand CORPINNAT within the wine sector, and specifically within quality sparkling wine.

On behalf of CORPINNAT, the impact and value of its creation were set out, both for strengthening the sector and for its contribution to the territory and its entire value chain. Since its foundation it has been an open organisation, with growth prospects and an indisputable impact in terms of prestige for the brands that join it.

The values that CORPINNAT represents and the rigour shown both in its regulations and in the actions of CORPINNAT were recognised as a positive driver in making the Penedès a firm, solid, consistent winegrowing area with a future.

Both parties committed to working as a team in order to progress jointly and each benefit from the positive effects that may derive from this collaboration, agreeing to hold regular meetings. In addition, CORPINNAT will be invited to the discussion and negotiation forums where its participation can add value for the whole Catalan wine sector.
The meeting concluded in a clear spirit of cooperation, with CORPINNAT hoping to see results in the short term, while committing to set down on paper its needs, aid, ambitions and progress.
