Corpinnat and Francisco Oller, a company specialising in the manufacture of cork stoppers since 1892, formalised a collaboration agreement this past Monday with the aim of improving various aspects of the closure process for the member wineries’ sparkling wines. The agreement also includes Oller’s participation as a partner in the next edition of the Festa de la Verema, scheduled for 10 October 2025.

The signing was announced in Sant Sadurní d'Anoia, with the participation of the president of Corpinnat, Pere Llopart, and the president of Oller, Joan J. Puig. The collaboration stems from a shared desire to highlight natural cork as a quality, local material, and to contribute to a better adaptation of this key element in long-aged sparkling wines.

Research, advice and territory

The agreement covers several areas of action, ranging from promoting joint research projects to study how cork interacts with Corpinnat sparkling wines during ageing, to holding technical sessions in the Penedès with international speakers from Champagne and Franciacorta, providing personalised technical advice to improve closure processes, and organising visits to Oller’s facilities.

As part of the agreement, Oller will also take part as a partner organisation of the 4th Festa de la Verema 2025, one of the most important annual events for Corpinnat. The gathering will take place at Finca Nadal de la Boadella (Torrelavit) and will bring together all the Corpinnat wineries and more than 50 sparkling wines, accompanied by five tapas created specially for the occasion.

Commitment to quality and origin

With this collaboration, Corpinnat reinforces its commitment to quality, sustainability and territorial roots. The link with a manufacturer such as Oller makes it possible to advance technical knowledge applied to ageing under cork and to take a further step in joint efforts to preserve the identity and added value of sparkling wines of origin.
