Five hundred people take part in the fourth edition of the Tast de Vins Base Corpinnat
Five hundred people, including professionals, sommeliers, importers, enthusiasts and wine lovers, were able to discover the essence of corpinnats first-hand at the fourth edition of the Tast de Vins Base, which on Sunday 1 February brought together the collective brand’s 21 wineries at the Palau Moxó in Barcelona. New this year, the tasting ran all day in morning and afternoon sessions, with formats tailored to different audiences: wine enthusiasts and lovers, and professionals.
Throughout the day, some fifteen masterclasses were held in Catalan, Spanish and English to explore the uniqueness and specific features of Corpinnat base wines. The sessions, led by the wineries’ winemakers, offered an in-depth look at base wines made from Macabeu, Garnatxa Negra, Sumoll or Xarel·lo, multi-vintage wines and ancestral-method wines, among others. There were also training sessions with Riedel, Coravin and Trefinos.
In the morning, visitors could taste more than a hundred wines: three corpinnats and one base wine from the 2025 harvest, as well as wines from the 9 wineries of Subsierra, which took part this year as the guest region. Subsierra is an association of winegrowers bringing together family businesses from Rioja Alta and Rioja Alavesa committed to the land and sustainability.
These are the wines available for tasting in the morning.
In the afternoon, trade visitors could taste more than 100 corpinnats: 4 base wines and 3 finished corpinnats.
These are the wines that the collective brand’s 21 wineries presented at the afternoon session.
