Discovering the human dimension of Corpinnat at Barcelona Wine Week
Barcelona, 2 February 2026
Corpinnat vice-president Roc Gramona and Master of Wine Almudena Alberca gave the masterclass “Corpinnat: the human dimension of wine” at Barcelona Wine Week, exploring the human factor behind the collective brand. The session was a journey through 9 long-aged corpinnats that are the result of personal stories and experiences.
As vice-president Roc Gramona stressed, “Corpinnat is unique not only because it has the most demanding rules in the world of sparkling wine, but because of the projects and the people behind each winery, who share the Corpinnat spirit”.
Roc Gramona
Created as a tribute to Ramon Nadal Giró, the winery’s visionary founder, who in 1941 transformed an old distillery into an underground cellar, the origin of Nadal. It symbolises the winery’s entrepreneurial spirit and its demand for quality.
This was the wine reserved for the family’s private celebrations, which the first and second generations decided to bring to market in 1962. Forty vintages have been made. It is produced from Xarel·lo and Macabeu from old vines (planted in the 1950s and 1960s), aged for at least 80 months under natural cork.
An iconic sparkling wine in an amphora-shaped bottle, conceived 45 years ago with a groundbreaking vision, made from Macabeu, Xarel·lo and Parellada with long ageing. It is a symbol of Kripta’s excellence and personality.
A 100% Xarel·lo corpinnat, with more than 120 months of ageing and more than 200 in the magnum version, made from grapes from century-old vines planted by the first generation at the Vinya de Terroja, a place steeped in family memories. It comes from an exceptional petrocalcic soil of just 2 hectares.
Made with grapes from the Els Gorgs vineyard, a 1943 interplanting of Macabeu and Xarel·lo trained as bush vines, a living testament to traditional Penedès viticulture. It is the result of the sum of human decisions that have cared for and preserved this vineyard for more than eight decades.
A tribute to grandfather Francesc Torelló, a sparkling wine pioneer at Can Martí (1951). A corpinnat with more than 10 years of ageing that this year celebrates its 75th anniversary.
Born in a garage cellar, it recalls the humble origins of the estate. It comes from the Mas Bertran vineyard, planted in 1945 by Roser and Eva’s grandfather, which gave the winery its name. The name of the wine comes from the vineyard’s soil type and defines the true origin of the grapes and the personality of the wine.
It is a tribute to patience, the land and the pursuit of excellence. A brut nature corpinnat made at the Font de Jui site, the origin and soul of Gramona, only in outstanding vintages. It is the wine with which Xavier and Jaume Gramona, the fifth generation of the family, set out to explore the deepest essence of time, with 140 months of ageing.
A wine that connects the three generations of Can Descregut. It was made by Arantxa de Cara and her father-in-law, Joan Milà. In 2010 Joan died, Mariona, Arantxa’s daughter, was born, and that same year the wine was bottled for its second fermentation. A wine that connects and preserves the family’s memory.
