The Corpinnat Base Wine Tasting is back on 1 February 2026 with a new format and location
It will take place throughout the whole day at the Palau Moxó in Barcelona: for wine lovers (morning) and professionals (afternoon)
Sixteen masterclasses have been scheduled in Catalan, Spanish, and English to delve deeper into the uniqueness of Corpinnat base wines
We are renewing the format and location of the fourth edition of the Corpinnat Base Wine Tasting. It will take place on Sunday 1 February 2026 at the Palau Moxó in Barcelona (plaça de Sant Just, 4), in the heart of the city’s Gothic Quarter, for the first time across the entire day. In the morning, it will be an open showroom for wine lovers, while the afternoon will be focused on professionals. The goal is to offer a tailored experience for each audience, allowing everyone to discover the uniqueness of Corpinnat wines.
The Corpinnat Base Wine Tasting, held just ahead of Barcelona Wine Week, offers a unique opportunity to discover the essence of corpinnats. The base wine is the still wine obtained after the first fermentation of the grapes. It is the foundation of what will eventually become a corppinnat, once the second fermentation in the bottle and the long ageing period have taken place.
Tickets for the Corpinnat Base Wine Tasting can be purchased from today on at the following link.
The morning session will take place from 11 am to 2 pm and it will be open to everyone, wine enthusiasts and wine lovers, who will have the chance to enjoy more than one hundred corpinnats: three sparkling wines and one base wine from the 2025 vintage of each of the wineries that make up the collective brand. They will also be able to taste wines from the nine wineries of Subsierra, which this year will participate as the guest region. Subsierra is an association of winegrowers bringing together family-owned producers from Rioja Alta and Rioja Alavesa committed to the territory and sustainability.
The ticket price is 50 euros and includes a Riedel glass.
Afternoon session
The afternoon session will run from 4 pm to 8 pm and is aimed at professionals and sector experts, most of whom will be attending Barcelona Wine Week, held from February 2nd to 4th.
More than 100 corpinnats will be available for tasting: 4 base wines and 3 Corpinnat wines from each winery. Participants will also be able to compare a Corpinnat with its corresponding 2025 base wine and assess its ageing potential.
The ticket price is 150 euros and can be purchased at this link.
Open Masterclasses
Sixteen masterclasses in Catalan, Spanish and English have been scheduled throughout the day to explore the uniqueness and specific characteristics of Corpinnat base wines. The sessions, led by the wineries’ oenologists, will allow attendees to delve into base wines of macabeu, garnatxa negra, sumoll or xarel·lo, multi-vintage wines, or ancestral wines, among others.
All attendees of the Corpinnat Base Wine Tasting can join the masterclasses without prior registration, both in the morning and afternoon sessions.
