Pere Llopart: “Today it is not only Corpinnat that is being recognised, but also the land and the people who care for it”

Corpinnat has been named Best Artisan Company at the Premis Cata Mayor 2026. The award, presented by El Periódico’s channel, highlights the “quality and transparency” of Corpinnat, “a prestigious brand that has taken bubbles to a new dimension, delving deeper into long ageing”. “It is a source of pride and a responsibility to receive this award, because today it is not only Corpinnat that is being recognised, but also the land and the people who care for it”, said president Pere Llopart.

The jury, made up of leading professionals from the world of wine and gastronomy, recognised Corpinnat’s commitment to historical varieties, growing 100% organic grapes, harvesting by hand and making wine entirely on the estate.

“We are a collective project sharing the same philosophy: an unwavering commitment to farming, viticulture, the soil, the land, the landscape and craftsmanship”

“We are a collective project sharing the same philosophy: an unwavering commitment to farming, viticulture, the soil, the land, the landscape and craftsmanship”. That is why “we work under one of the most quality-driven and demanding sets of rules”: with hand harvesting, winemaking entirely in the winery, organic grapes and native varieties, as the jury recognised, and paying the winegrower a guaranteed minimum price “to preserve the landscape and so that work in the vineyard is dignified and has a future”.

The Corpinnat board of directors collected the award this evening at the ceremony held at the Born Centre de Cultura i de Memòria, attended by leading figures from the world of Catalan wine and gastronomy.

The Corpinnat model

Corpinnat is a European Union collective brand founded in April 2018 to identify the great sparkling wines made in the heart of the historic Penedès, an area of 997 km2 covering, wholly or partly, 46 municipalities in the districts of Alt Penedès, Baix Penedès, Alt Camp, Garraf, Baix Llobregat and Anoia. It currently comprises 21 wineries: Gramona, Llopart, Nadal, Recaredo, Sabaté i Coca, Torelló, Huguet de Can Feixes, Júlia Bernet, Mas Candí, Can Descregut, Pardas, Bufadors, Cisteller, Viader, Mas de la Basserola, Kripta, Demost, Mas Bertran, AT Roca, Mir and Torné & Bel.

The brand operates under its own rigorous and demanding rules of use, which guarantee the highest standards both in the vineyard and in the winery and help to ensure the survival of the craft, the sector and the land: 100% organic vineyards and process; hand harvesting; winemaking entirely in the winery for the whole company (corpinnats and still wines); long ageing (from 18 months); commitment to historical varieties (minimum 90%); estate-owned vineyards and long-term contracts with supplying winegrowers at a guaranteed minimum price; and annual external audits. This production model not only ensures the excellence of the wines but also values human labour, dignifies the winegrower’s craft and strengthens the bond with the land.
