Pere Llopart explained the collective brand’s aims and activity before the Parliament’s Agriculture Committee

Corpinnat president Pere Llopart today told the Parliament of Catalonia that “Corpinnat is a model that protects the land from the constant threats it faces and builds a solid alternative for the future based on value”. “It is a path to the future for a sector that is strategic for the country, a clear commitment to protecting the land, strengthening the sector and building a better future for the country as a whole”, he explained. Pere Llopart appeared this afternoon before the Catalan Parliament’s Committee on Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and Food, where he set out the collective brand’s aims and activity.

“We cannot and do not want to go it alone: models that generate value and rootedness, such as Corpinnat, must be recognised and supported institutionally”

President Pere Llopart warned that after years of drought that have pushed many farms to the limit, “the future of the vineyard is at risk if we do not act”. “This risk is not only economic; it is territorial, environmental and social”, because “losing vineyards means losing landscape, economy and identity”.

Corpinnat, the president explained, is much more than a set of rules or a technical definition: “above all, it is a model: a model that favours value over volume, improves pay for winegrowers, keeps people on the land, is sustainable and defends the land”. “And this model works”, he insisted. This is shown by the economic return Corpinnat generated for winegrowers in 2025, with €4.3 million from grape purchases at a guaranteed minimum price, and by the employment, economic activity and wine tourism impact it has generated.

“Corpinnat wants to join forces”

Pere Llopart reiterated to the members of the Agriculture Committee that “models that generate value and rootedness, such as Corpinnat, must be recognised and supported institutionally”. “We cannot and do not want to go it alone: viticulture needs support in the face of climate change, internationalisation must be promoted and the promotion of quality wines strengthened”.

“Corpinnat does not want to replace anyone, nor is it going it alone: Corpinnat wants to join forces”. “It wants to offer a path based on excellence, transparency and commitment to the land and to the people who make it possible”, because, he said, “Catalonia cannot compete on price alone; it must compete on quality, identity and credibility”. “That is what Corpinnat is”, he concluded.

The collective brand, founded in 2018, currently comprises 22 wineries, with combined sales of more than 5 million bottles and a turnover of €60 million.

The collective brand is the only label in Catalonia and Spain that guarantees a minimum price for grapes bought from supplying winegrowers, with a commitment to annual increases. In 2025 the minimum price was €0.92/kg, 47% more than in 2018. This generated an economic return of €4.3 million from grape purchases from supplying winegrowers. The main market remains the local one: in 2025, 79% of sales were made in Catalonia and Spain. In 2025, corpinnats were sold in 64 countries.
