Viader is the new member of the CORPINNAT collective brand after passing all the mandatory audits. The collective now brings together fourteen wineries from the Penedès territory that make sparkling wines following one of the world’s most demanding sets of regulations in terms of rigour and quality (100% organic grapes, hand harvesting, full vinification on the estate and long ageing, among others).

From its creation on 10 April 2018 to the present day, CORPINNAT has gradually brought in the following wineries: Gramona, Llopart, Nadal, Recaredo, Sabaté i Coca, Torelló, Huguet de Can Feixes, Júlia Bernet, Mas Candí, Can Descregut, Pardas, Bufadors, Cisteller and, as of today, Viader.

Entrepreneur

Celler Viader is the personal venture of Eduard Viader, an agricultural engineer by training and an enthusiast by vocation who, in 2009, aged just twenty-one, set out on the path of making his own sparkling wines.

For more than a decade, Eduard’s venture gradually took shape in a small cellar in the centre of Sant Sadurní d’Anoia until, in 2018, he discovered an old abandoned farmhouse surrounded by vineyards very close to Espiells: Can Rossell de la Llena. The farmhouse was renovated with sustainability as the winery’s fundamental pillar and with the aim of promoting and adding value to the sparkling and still wines of the Penedès – two of the fundamental values of the Collective Brand and the main reasons for deciding to become part of Corpinnat.

Strength for the territory (hope)

Viader is taking a bold step towards quality and the defence of the territory: vinifying 100% of its wines in its own facility, in addition to farming its own vineyards. A firm commitment to the growth of the project.

Coming under the Corpinnat umbrella represents a twofold gain, consolidating an ever more robust collective project that keeps the Penedès winegrowing fabric alive. Thanks to its strength, the challenges facing the territory can be met with confidence and solidity, with a vision of the future full of hope in the face of the serious threats to this landscape.

The clear commitment to quality of all CORPINNAT member wineries is bearing fruit, with an increase in value throughout the entire wine sector.

With this new addition, CORPINNAT reaffirms its open and inclusive approach, with the aim of giving structure to a sector that not only fights for itself but also embraces the defence of the landscape, support for farmers and, ultimately, the identity of a set of wines and of a territory.
