Celler Mir and Torné & Bel have joined the Corpinnat collective brand, which as of today brings together 21 wineries committed to the land, excellence and quality. With these two new additions, Corpinnat reaffirms its commitment to an open and inclusive model, working under one of the most demanding sets of rules in the world: 100% organic grapes, hand harvesting, winemaking entirely on the estate, long ageing, commitment to historical varieties, estate-owned vineyards or long-term contracts with a guaranteed minimum price for the winegrower, and annual external audits.

Since its founding on 10 April 2018, Corpinnat has gradually welcomed the following wineries: Gramona, Llopart, Nadal, Recaredo, Sabaté i Coca, Torelló, Huguet de Can Feixes, Júlia Bernet, Mas Candí, Can Descregut, Pardas, Bufadors, Cisteller, Viader, Mas de la Basserola, Celler Kripta, Demost, Mas Bertran, AT Roca and, as of today, Celler Mir and Torné & Bel.

Celler Mir: a winery with deep roots and a contemporary outlook

Celler Mir is a historic winery located in Subirats, in the heart of the Penedès, with a winemaking legacy dating back to 1776. Over 17 generations, the Mir family has grown vines and made wines deeply connected to the land, becoming an essential part of the region’s winemaking memory. The history of the winery is closely linked to Can Guineu, one of the most emblematic houses in the municipality, and to Marc Mir Capella, an intellectual figure and visionary agronomist who played a key role in the fight against phylloxera. His innovative spirit, based on knowledge, resilience and adaptation, still inspires the way wine is understood today.

In 2020, with the retirement of Josep Maria Rosell Mir, Celler Mir began a new chapter under the direction of a multidisciplinary, international team that brings a fresh vision without renouncing the winery’s historical DNA.

Celler Mir practises certified 100% organic viticulture, with comprehensive control and practices that promote living soils, biodiversity and natural balance. In the winery, the wines are made entirely in-house with minimal intervention, using concentrated grape must for the second fermentation and long ageing on the lees, essential elements for faithfully expressing the character of each vintage and each plot.

Technological innovation is a tool at the service of the wine: precise temperature control, advanced presses and plot-by-plot vinification make it possible to work with rigour and precision, with limited production that prioritises quality over quantity.

Torné & Bel: where time, land and family are transformed into sparkling wine

In Espiells, in the heart of the Penedès, the family winery Torné & Bel represents the continuation of a winemaking history that began six generations ago. Passion and know-how have been passed down through the whole family, and since 1991 two generations have devoted themselves to making their sparkling wines, with the first harvest in 1997 marking the starting point of the family project.

The Torné & Bel vineyards are farmed using organic viticulture that respects the terroir. Xarel·lo, Macabeu and Parellada are the varieties planted, carefully chosen to give voice to the landscape, the climate and the identity of the land. Harvesting is done by hand, with meticulous care that ensures the quality and integrity of every grape.

The winery is organic and family-run, and the wines are made in an artisanal and sustainable way. The sparkling wines are Brut Nature and riddled on pupitres, respecting the wine’s own processes and timing. They seek to reflect in every bottle the personality of the land and the passion of the family who make them.

Torné & Bel is the expression of a family project rooted in the Penedès, committed to preserving native varieties and to organic viticulture that respects the land. Each bottle bears witness to the time, dedication and sensitivity that each generation has contributed, resulting in sparkling wines with a character all their own.

One step further for Corpinnat

With the addition of Celler Mir and Torné & Bel, the Corpinnat collective brand strengthens its contribution to giving structure to a sector that is not only fighting for itself, but also to defend the landscape, support farmers and showcase the identity of Penedès sparkling wines. The collective brand continues to grow as a benchmark for quality, sustainability and authenticity in the heart of Catalonia’s wine region.
